Abstract

The use of the Internet as an instrument to access to and interact with public institutions involves a profound modification of the relations of citizens with institutions. This paper examines the impact of the use of the Colombian Senate’s webpage on citizens’ confidence in this institution, by analyzing the results of a survey of citizens who access the webpage on a regular basis as well as of those who use traditional channels of getting information and obtaining services.
