Uses of Remittances from Spain in the Colombian Pacific Region

Using a quantitative method, this article explores the uses of remittances by Colombianhouseholds that had experienced immigration in the Pacific region. We will describe the
main socio-demographic characteristics of remitters and the households beneficiaries (especially
the beneficiary who receives the money order) and the distribution of household
expenditure.
