Compromisso social e seu impacto no voluntariado empresarial. Uma abordagem a partir das variáveis de gênero e idade

Resumo

O objetivo deste artigo é fazer uma abordagem do compromisso social (filantrópico, integrado e participativo), a partir das variáveis de gênero e idade, para demonstrar se existem diferenças estatisticamente significativas entre homens e mulheres, jovens e adultos, em um grupo de trabalhadores mexicanos. O estudo foi realizado sob uma metodologia quantitativa, aplicando um instrumento de três itens a uma amostra de 440 colaboradores de 12 empresas do nordeste do México, cujas respostas foram examinadas por meio de uma análise de variância. Em conclusão, o estudo confirma 6 das 12 hipóteses levantadas; isso mostra que, com base na variável gênero, as mulheres têm maior compromisso social do que os homens, tanto filantrópicos quanto integrados, independentemente da idade. Porém, quanto à variável idade, no caso da mulher adulta, seu compromisso social é igual ao da mulher jovem, enquanto o do homem adulto acaba sendo maior do que o do jovem.
