Resumo

A evidencia sobre a maneira como os recursos pessoais interagem como os recursos do trabalho para prever o entusiasmo pelo tra­balho (work engagement) tem sido limitada e inconsistente. Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar os efeitos diretos e interativos das autoavaliações essenciais (core self-evaluations, CSE) e a autonomia sobre o work engagement em uma amostra de 136 acadêmicos argentinos. Por um lado, os resultados da análise de regressão hierárquica revelam que tanto a autonomia quanto as CSE exibem um efeito positivo no work engagement. Por outro lado, os resultados também mostram que os efeitos da autonomia em duas dimensões do work engagement, dedicação e absorção no trabalho são moderadas pelas CSE.
