The case describes the investment decision that a person must make when he/she is deciding to establish his/her own business. The person, a former employee in the kind of business he is planning, decides to open a car shop. He/She finds the market offers two alternatives: a) a franchise; b) an independent shop. The entrepreneur have to decide taking into account financial and non financial issues.
