Resumen

El uso de las redes sociales en el lugar de trabajo ha crecido exponencialmente. Con base en la teoría del intercambio social, este trabajo tiene como objetivo identificar la posible relación que existe entre la satisfacción en el trabajo y motivación, el apoyo organizacional percibido, y la percepción de los empleados en el uso de las redes sociales en el ambiente laboral. Se utilizó un cuestionario en una muestra de 294 trabajadores en empresas manufactureras en la frontera noroeste de México y Estados Unidos, mostrando resultados que sugieren que el uso de las redes sociales en el lugar de trabajo tiene una relación positiva con la satisfacción que podrían ser muy útiles para mejorar las actividades en las organizaciones.
